Gnocchi with artichoke pesto

A first fresh and delicate dish. Ideal for spring season , 
Clean thoroughly  artichokes , deprive them of the outer leaves and cut them into strips. Add to the pesto just before adding it as a seasoning for hot dumplings just drained.
 

Preparation

 
Lightly toast the pine nuts.
 
Coarsely chopped artichokes
 
Salt lightly the artichokes and let them sit for at least an hour. Squeeze and radunateli along with basil leaves in a blender. Add the chopped garlic, almonds, pine nuts and cheese. You begin to blend it all pouring a spoonful of oil at a time. When you have obtained a smooth cream, keep it aside.
 
Bring to boiling salted water. Tuffateci inside the dumplings with a strainer and collect them as they come to the surface. Season them still warm with pesto Artichoke. Serve and completed with a dribble of olive oil and some basil as decoration.
